Storytelling Toronto thanks all of our storytellers, listeners, and supporters for a great 2018 Toronto Storytelling Festival.
We welcomed storytellers from South Africa, New York, Holland, Manitoba, Alberta, Turkey, and Birch Island First Nation.
More than 70 local storytellers shared their art at Native Men’s Residence, CSI Annex, The Gladstone Hotel, Toronto Public Library branches, Alliance Française, Artscape Wychwood Barns, Bata Shoe Museum, Japan Foundation, Ismaili Centre Toronto, Toronto Reference Library, and Royal Ontario Museum.
The last day of the festival happened at Toronto Reference Library. The TD Story Jam brought together 1000 kids, parents, and grandparents for a day of amazing family storytelling.
The 2018 festival drew more than 6,000 listeners over ten days of performances, talks, and workshops.
We thank TD, Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Canadian Heritage, The Little Paper, and our many venue and program partners.
