Storytellers Camp Afternoon Workshops
Campers choose one workshop.
1) Indigenous Storytelling Traditions
Metis storyteller and oral historian Ron Evans takes participants on a journey deep into the world of oral tradition.
2) Thinking Like a Storyteller
New York-based storyteller Laura Simms explores the way unique qualities of engagement, perception, and moral understanding are embedded in stories. Opening to these aspects of our art illumines stories and gives us access to a richer more direct way of telling.
3) Tell Compelling True Stories
How do you tell your own stories, in a way that captivates your audience – and feels comfortable to you? Leaders in the Toronto True Storytelling scene, Sage Tyrtle (High Stakes Storytelling) and Marsha Shandur (True Stories Told Live Toronto) use warmth, humour, and their deep understanding of the medium to show you how with step-by-step instructions. No storytelling experience necessary.
